MANEB Signs MoU with MDF and MPS

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has entered into a 3-year Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and Malawi Police Service to continue providing security during administration of national examinations for the period beginning in 2024 until 2026.

The MoU signing ceremony took place on April 4, 2024, during an interface meeting that the Board had with the state security agencies in Mangochi.

Speaking during the event, the Executive Director for MANEB, Professor Dorothy Nampota said this is a one-of-a-kind arrangement, as previously the MoUs were signed annually. She highlighted that MDF and MPS have continued to play crucial roles in ensuring the security of national examinations, with leakage-free examinations administered for the past four years consecutively.

Signing the MoUs on behalf of MDF and MPS were signed by Major General Saiford Mandiza Kalisha and Deputy Inspector General of Police responsible for administration, Mr. Happy Mkandawire respectively.
