MINISTER OF EDUCATION VISITS MANEB, COMMENDS EXAMINATION PREPAREDNESS

The Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Honourable Bright Msaka, SC, has commended MANEB for the progress made in recent years during a visit organized to appreciate how the Board is preparing to administer the 2026 national examinations.

During the visit, which took place on 30th January 2026, the Minister held discussions with the MANEB management team where he expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by the Board in recent years in ensuring credible and leakage-free national examinations.

“I am gratified to learn that MANEB is ready to administer the examinations in 2026. This is what I needed to know. Let me reassure you once again that you will receive my Ministry’s support and all the required Government support to succeed,” he said.

The Executive Director of MANEB, Professor Dorothy Nampota, highlighted ongoing efforts that will further improve MANEB’s operations, including the transitioning of MANEB services to e-platforms, construction of a Marking Centre which is currently underway, and plans to construct purpose-built MANEB offices in Zomba.

The Minister’s visit to MANEB reaffirmed the Government’s confidence in MANEB’s capacity to deliver credible national examinations and its important role in Malawi’s education system.
